Overview Hosted By

With the advent of the CARICOM Single Market and Economy, it will be the responsibility of the Bench and Tribunals as well as the Bar to recognise treaty matters and international law issues and this requires a sound understanding of Community Law and Competition Law as well as the Revised Treaty of Chaguaramas.

Further, both the business and labour communities in the region must understand their rights and responsibilities in this new Community.  The formative years of Caribbean Competition regulation, too, require a regional discussion on competition law and ethos.

As these are new areas to the region, the CCJ has undertaken a series of public education initiatives to enhance the knowledge of the Bar and Bench in the region and wishes to invite business, labour and members of the public to be part of this exercise.
